LOS ANGELES, CA - March 14, 2014 - For one day only 8 artists present new and original works for Woman. Hair. Power. @ The Ground Floor Gallery. Curated by filmmaker Malika Ali, this group show examines the lure, rituals, and politics of women and their hair. Challenging preconceived notions of how and where high end art should be displayed, these artists roll out their works onto black walls inside an otherwise residential space.
Woman. Hair. Power. is a Women's History Month arts event featuring new and original works by Malika Ali, Rebecca Drolen, Numa Perrier, Andrea Shear, Sasha Jones, Tchaiko Omawale, Dellis Frank and Sara Brum.
The Ground Floor Gallery is located at 3616 Mount Vernon Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90008.
